I wanted to remember a few more of my favorite things about sweet Landon. As I type this, he is 11 weeks old tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures but I think I will always remember these things just by their descriptions:
-Ever since Landon was born, he has had this fuzzy hair on his ears. He had it all over his body, especially his back, but we loved the fuzz on his ears. He still has a little bit of it on his ear now, but it's slowly going away. I'm sure he'll be glad that fuzz didn't stick around when he's older, but I think it's so sweet.
-Landon is still in the Rock n' Play next to my side of the bed and sometimes in the middle of the night he will wake up and won't need to eat. I will reach over and put his paci back in his mouth and hold his little hand. He likes to be touching or rubbing something as he falls asleep. I think he will really enjoy a lovey or blanket at some point. Anyways, he will hold onto my finger while he falls asleep. One recent night I had to move my pillow half way down the bed and we both fell asleep holding each others' hands. *swoon*
-Speaking of his hands, they are one of my favorite things to look at! He rarely stops moving his hands and when he does, it's often because he's holding your hand or holding his own hands together. Recently, while he was nursing, he interlocked his own fingers and just had his hands resting there. It was SO sweet. When I put Landon to sleep at night, he will tuck his head under my chin and hold my thumb with his hand against my chest. I die of cuteness. Every night.
-Our bedtime routine is getting to be one of my favorite things. He didn't really used to have a set bedtime or a routine, but we are getting into one more and more. Some time between 6-7pm, I change him into his PJs downstairs and then we go upstairs together. We turn on his sound machine, turn on the fan, get in his sleep sack swaddle, and then we rock in the glider. We usually spend time just looking at each other and I sing to him...or attempt to carry a tune that doesn't make his ears bleed. I've been singing Adele's "Make You Feel My Love" to him lately. When he gets really sleepy, I move him from the crook of my elbow to my chest where he tucks under my chin and holds my hand. Once he's fast asleep, I kiss his head and put him down in his RNP. This all goes well if he is not overtired. I have to make sure to get him upstairs at the first sign of tiredness or a screamfest ensues.
These are a few of my favorite Landon things :)
